Poem by Gladwyne Abel Weisser, in memory of her Uncle Arthur Abel, an avid rock hound.
Stones from the river, the earth, and the sea,
craggy and rough; weary and worn.
Vibrant beauty hidden in the depths,
never revealed, until it's reborn.
It took a loving hand
to uncover and polish.
A gift; a remembrance,
our tears to abolish.
A beauty revealed,
our hearts to help heal.
Stones to gems; ordinary to precious
and memories we will always feel.
Love endures and uncovers,
As the stones from the river, the earth, and the sea.
in our hearts you'll always be.
